SCI was established in 1989 under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. Initially named “Charity Association,” it was later renamed “Sharjah Charity International” in 2000. The organization operates under the umbrella of the UAE government and aligns with the country’s humanitarian and development goals.
